Grossman Podiatry CenterAt Grossman Podiatry Center, we hope our office is everything you are looking for in a Podiatry practice.

If you have questions other than those listed below, please call our office and our staff will be glad to help you.

What should I expect at my visit?
You will be pleasantly greeted at the check in window where you will provide the necessary identification and insurance information to our staff. Any forms needing to be filled out will be handled at check-in as well.

What can I do to prepare for my visit?
Check the construction status near our office! We have been experiencing longer drive times due to construction being done in the city of Washington.

Please remove all nail polish from your toe nails regardless of what you are seeing the doctor for.  All patients enjoy the foot whirlpool prior to seeing the doctor. Pants that can easily be pulled above the knee are best.
Update your medication list if necessary. Lastly, write down any questions that you may have for the doctor.

What hours are you open?
The hours of operation are subject to change, but in general will be:

8am to 4pm M, T, Th & F
8am to 11:30am Saturday
The office is Closed Wednesdays and Sundays.

How can I reach the office?
The office phone number is 724-222-5230 and the fax number is 724-222-3676.

How can I make an appointment?
Please call 724-222-5230 and our staff will help you make an appointment that suits your schedule.
It can take a few weeks to get into the office. We recommend calling the office as soon as you are having a problem and do not wait until it is very serious. To accommodate everyone's needs, we offer appointments weeks or months in advance.  If you are an established patient (have been seen in the last 6 months) and have an acute need, please call us and we will try to get you in as soon as possible.

Are you taking new patients?
We are taking new patients at this time. Patients new to the practice are scheduled at certain times in the schedule. This is due to the time that is needed to acquire needed information, add information to the computer system and time to talk with you before you see Dr. Grossman. We ask that new patients arrive one half hour before the scheduled appointment time so that we can accomplish this. After this first initial visit you will not be required to come earlier and you will not be limited in appointment slot times.

What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring a photo ID, insurance cards and a current list of your medications (Patient Medication List). If you are a new patient you can fill out required paper work prior to appointment and bring it with you. Bringing all of this with you will help us to serve your needs in the best and most efficient way. Also bring any copayments that may apply. They will be collected prior to being seen. Our office accepts payments of cash or checks. We do not accept debit or credit cards.
As an established patient, you will be asked at each visit if there have been any changes in your address, phone number and other information. This is so that we can be sure to have all updated information for you.

Do you have parking at your office?
Yes, we have ample free parking directly in the front of our office. Our office is wheelchair accessible as well.

Do you have a wheelchair or walker available at your office?
Yes, we have both that you are welcome to use while here.

How long can I expect to be at your office?
A new patient can expect to be here for an hour or so depending on what you are being seen for. Foot pain patients tend to have longer initial visits. An established patient can anticipate being here approximately 30 minutes, as long as there are not any circumstances that our office cannot control.

What should I do if I am late for an appointment?
We pride ourselves on taking your time seriously and hope you will do the same for us. If you are running late, please call the office so that we can advise you as to what can be done. Dr. Grossman prides himself on running on time and will make decisions based on the welfare of all of his patients to be seen on any particular day.

What should I do if I miss an appointment?
We pride ourselves being prepared for your visit to our office. We hope that you would do the same for us. We recognize that hospital stays, family deaths, and other serious events happen. We do waive the $25 fee the first time a confirmed appointment is missed. However due to the high demand for appointment slots, the $25 fee would need to be paid prior to scheduling after the second missed appointment. We try to avoid missed appointments by providing an appointment reminder when you schedule in the office and also by calling a day or two prior to your appointment day.

What should I do if I have to cancel an appointment?
Our office asks simply that you call our office as soon as you know that you will not be able to make your appointment. Please try whenever possible to cancel an appointment greater than 24 hours in advance if you know you will not be able to make it. This gives us the opportunity to offer the appointment slot to a patient who is waiting to be seen.

What if I have a problem after hours or on the weekend?
If you have a serious emergency, please call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.  For less serious urgent needs, you can go to the closest urgent care center.

You will be seated in our comfortable waiting room until one of our staff brings you back to a triage room where we will get Whirlpoolyour vitals, review your medication list and medical history.  From there every patient is put in a foot whirlpool (wearing pants that can be rolled above the knee is helpful).  After this you will be helped into one of our neat and clean exam rooms where Dr. Grossman will see you.  At the end of your visit, we can schedule you for your next appointment.
